Jimmy Campbell and Friends invite you to treat yourself and be ‘Larger than Life’

Jimmy Campbell Salon and friends are hosting a charity fundraising day on Wednesday July 8th 2009 to raise money and awareness for Trinity Hospice. Trinity Hospice provides emotional and practical support for those who are terminally ill and their families so that they can live their lives to the full.

Both Jimmy Campbell and Bob salons will be participating, located in busy Clapham and trendy Fulham. As well as donating fifty percent of all takings* on the day to Trinity Hospice, there will be many prizes up for grabs in the salons with donations starting from as little as £2 a pop. If you are due for a cut and colour you can now book an appointment in advance by calling any one of the four salons. Prizes have been donated by the likes of John Lewis, Wella, KeraCare, Phytospecific and Ministry of Sound to show their support for such a worthwhile cause.

Jimmy Campbell and Ash decided to support the organisation after both losing close family members to cancer last year. Jimmy felt compelled to highlight the services Trinity Hospice offer as ‘cancer does not see colour, race, age or sex – it just takes that person’. He went on to say, ‘the main reason Trinity Hospice exists is to help families relieve the stress, pain and everything else that goes on behind the disease. So having the assistance of an organisation like the Hospice makes the situation less traumatic’.

Trinity Day aims to raise awareness of the often unsung heroes of our local communities who offer free specialist care to a population of a 3/4 million people each year in Central and South West London bringing them dignity, comfort and freedom from pain. Trinity Hospice provide intensive or respite care at their Clapham Common hospice, 24 hours a day.

Prints from Trinity Hospice ‘Larger than Life’ exhibition will also be available for a reduced rate of £250. The photographs were taken by famous portrait photographer Rich Hardcastle and each of the limited editions prints have original signatures by the likes of actor Kevin Spacey, comedian Jack Dee and Coldplay’s Chris Martin. Each print includes their personal message in the form of few witty or philosophical lines that sum up their take on life and laughter. The ‘Larger than Life’ exhibition is touring London and will be on public display in Starbucks, Northcote Road, Clapham
